JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role is perfect for someone seeking to work during the evenings (5 PM - 9 PM), Monday through Friday, and facilitating 10 - 12 hours of group per week. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enforce and support client served rights and confidentiality as required by HIPAA, federal and California rules and regulations concerning treatment facilities. Facilitation and documentation of daily group sessions with provided curriculum. Knowledge of and ability to work with issues related to mental illness, substance abuse, and behavioral addictions in an effort to support client autonomy and wellbeing. Monitor, analyze and submit client UA's. Participate in clinical staff meetings. Meet with supervisors as needed regarding clinical or operational issues. Engage in crisis management as needed. Document all provided services within 72 hours using designated forms/templates. Collaborate with staff members regarding client needs and /or concerns. Clear and concise verbal and written communication with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. Competency of Microsoft programs and management of client charts through electronic medical records (KIPU). Monitoring of client conditions, notes changes in status, utilizes judgment and takes appropriate action.
QUALIFICATIONS
Drug and Alcohol Counselor Registration or Certification from an accredited agency (CCAPP or
ACCBC/CAADE
). First aid, TB clearance, Health screen and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Basic understanding of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) Understanding of DCHS Regulations, CARF Standards, and Title 9 Proficient in HIPAA and strong adherence to code of confidentiality Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employees are required to talk or hear while on duty and frequently required to stand and walk. Often, the employee is required to sit and use a computer and/or reach with hands and arms.
