Position Details $20.00-$24.25/hour Modesto and surrounding areas Monday-Friday; weekend availability optional Scheduling between 8:00 AM-8:00 PM Minimum 15 hours per week Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required Have 6+ months of ABA or special-needs experience? You may qualify for full-time opportunities, including AM hours , based on availability. New to the field? Start part-time and, after 6 months with Active Steps , you may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as you gain experience. Must Have High school diploma or equivalent Valid California driver's license Current auto insurance in your name Reliable transportation to travel between client locations Ability to maintain a consistent schedule for at least 6 months About the Role As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) . This is an active, hands-on position in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings. You'll use play, movement, learning activities, and skill-building exercises while working alongside a supportive clinical team. Responsibilities Provide ABA therapy in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Behavior Analysts Teach communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills Collect and document session data and client progress Support skill development and behavior reduction goals Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Collaborate with clinical teams and families Participate in ongoing training and professional development Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 6+ months of ABA or special-needs experience required for full-time/AM opportunities Experience working with children preferred, but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to actively engage with children, including sitting, kneeling, bending, running, and standing for extended periods Ability to travel between client locations Completion of required BTL1 certification and in-person training (provided and paid for by Active Steps) What We Offer Flexible schedule options Paid training & professional development Paid Mileage & Drive Time Monthly Phone Allowance Computer & Tablet Allowance Performance Bonus Program
