Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Take on a meaningful contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting a dedicated elementary-aged student in a mild to moderate special day class. This full-time, full school year (30-32 hours per week) backfill position offers hands-on experience working within a collaborative educational setting near Oakland, CA.
Essential Qualifications:
Current, active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in a mild/moderate special day class preferred Previous school-based experience strongly valued Ability to complete both the district's fingerprinting/onboarding and agency onboarding process Comfort with onsite interviews and school-based work environments
Responsibilities Include:
Deliver direct behavioral interventions as guided by the assigned BCBA supervisor Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with a positive, student-centered approach Maintain consistent communication with supervising BCBA and classroom staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions Document and report session data to inform best practices for student success Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all interactions
