You will be working with the client in their natural environment (i.e. family home). The BT will report in to the Case Supervisor (20% direct supervision), and be directly overseen by a family caretaker / family member. The average session is 2.5-3 hours in length. The most common starting schedules for our part-time Behavior Technicians are from 3-6pm and 4-7pm (or similar) on weekdays. We have immediate openings available for a Behavior Technician Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-7:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am-2:00pm. Hours range from 8-16 hours per week. Work 1-on-1 with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental and/or behavioral disabilities Implement skill acquisition programs to teach social, communication, safety, and daily living skills Implement behavior reduction programs Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of kiddos and others Data collection and graphing Good ethics, critical thinking, and teamwork skills Work collaboratively with other specialists (Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, etc.) Conduct parent education
Job Qualifications:
Applicants must have a vehicle and be a named person on the current insurance policy of the vehicle they drive. Applicants must have a high school diploma (or an equivalent educational qualification) and be over 18 years of age. Applicants should be passionate about Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Services, Social Work or a related field. Applicants should have experience working with children and their families. Individuals with prior experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental and/or behavioral disabilities will be given preference.
