The RBT works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified clinical supervisor to implement individualized behavior intervention plans, teach adaptive skills, and promote independence while ensuring the health and safety of the individual. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as developed by the supervising clinician. Provide direct support to individuals in home, community, school, vocational, or day program settings. Teach communication, social, daily living, self-care, community safety, and functional life skills using evidence-based behavioral strategies. Utilize positive behavior support techniques, reinforcement strategies, prompting, modeling, shaping, and behavior reduction procedures in accordance with the individual's treatment plan. Recognize antecedents, behaviors, and consequences (ABC) and respond appropriately using approved intervention techniques. Safely manage challenging behaviors while maintaining the individual's dignity, privacy, and rights. Follow crisis intervention procedures as outlined in the individual's Behavior Support Plan and agency policies. Collect accurate data on target behaviors, skill acquisition, and intervention outcomes during each session. Complete required documentation, daily session notes, behavior reports, and data collection by established deadlines. Assist individuals in participating in meaningful community activities while promoting inclusion and independence. Support individuals with personal care needs when authorized, including hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders (if applicable), and mobility assistance. Maintain professional communication with supervisors, family members, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members. Attend required supervision sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing training. Maintain RBT certification and complete continuing education requirements. Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, agency policies, state regulations Skills and Qualifications Compassionate, patient, and dependable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to support individuals with varying levels of needs and behaviors Knowledge of developmental disabilities and person-centered practices preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Basic computer and documentation skills Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation Ability to successfully pass criminal background screening, fingerprint clearance, and any additional agency-required clearances.
