This position is ideal for a BCBA seeking flexible, case-by-case contract work without maintaining a traditional ongoing ABA caseload. Position Overview Contract BCBAs will primarily complete assessment and consultation cases referred through school districts, SELPAs, and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs). Cases are assigned based on clinician availability, experience, and geographic location.

Services may include:

Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) in the area of behavior Review of behavioral data, records, and existing interventions Parent, teacher, and staff interviews Student observations across educational settings Development of behavior recommendations and intervention strategies Written evaluation reports Participation in IEP meetings to present assessment findings Behavioral consultation and related district-requested evaluations Why Work With APS? Qualifications Required:

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or related field Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments Strong professional report-writing skills Ability to independently manage evaluation timelines Experience collaborating with families, school personnel, and multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

Experience conducting school-based FBAs Experience with special education and IEP teams Experience completing Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) Familiarity with California special education practices Experience presenting evaluation findings at IEP meetings Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus Schedule Independent Contractor | Flexible | Case-by-Case Evaluators determine their availability and may accept cases that fit their existing schedule. Some daytime availability may be necessary for school observations, interviews, and IEP meetings. Service Area Opportunities may be available throughout San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties , depending on district referrals and contractor availability. Compensation Competitive contract compensation based on case type, scope, and complexity. Compensation and case expectations are discussed prior to accepting each assignment.
