Perks & Compensation:
Earn between $30-$32/hr. Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by location/state, role, certification, school, and assignment. Get paid weekly Be a W-2 employee — no worrying about withholding for taxes $0 onboarding costs: We reimburse expenses related to state background checks and time spent training after you've worked your first shift with Scoot Refer friends to sub with Scoot — after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards The role is non-exempt. Actual pay is hourly and based on hours workedRole Requirements:
Valid RBT Certification Experience in behavioral therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities At least 1 year of experience working with children/adults with special needs; OR at least 1 year in a classroom/education setting Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 48+ college credits Three references, including one from a previous direct supervisor TB Risk Assessment & Background Check (we reimburse the cost of the background check done with Scoot)You'll Stand Out If You Have:
SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience Bilingual skills and/or bilingual teaching experienceWhat You'll Do:
Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings Assist with various moderate to severe scenarios such as toileting, personal 1:1 care, non-verbal, and challenging or aggressive behaviors in the classroom Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEPs (individual education plans) Follow direction from and assist lead educators Comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process About Scoot Education Scoot Education is a thoughtful staffing partner with a mission to help create exceptional experiences in education.
