The RBT will work directly with clients, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges, helping them achieve their personal goals through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately and consistently. Maintain medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate clients and their families about behavior strategies and care plans to promote understanding and engagement. Collaborate with other team members to develop effective care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide support in various settings, including home, school, or community environments, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere. Assist in the assessment of client needs and progress towards goals, making necessary adjustments to interventions as required. Requirements Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a special education setting is preferred. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is essential. Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to behavioral therapy outcomes. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate approach towards educating clients about their care plans and behavioral strategies.
