Job Description
Registered Behavior Technician Behavior Resources is a small, locally owned company who is honored to be able to help families in our community who are dealing with behavioral issues. Our practice is owned by a Behavior Analyst and currently services the Yolo County area (Davis, Woodland and West Sacramento). Full Time positions available Behavior Resources provides Behavior Health Treatment (BHT) which focuses on the acquisition of language as well as social, play and adaptive skills. Applied Behavior Analytic methods are utilized to reduce challenging behavior. Our programs are tailored to each individual patient and utilize a combination of discrete trial methods and naturalistic teaching strategies.
The Behavior Technician responsibilities include:
- Implementation of development goals
- Implementation of behavior intervention plans
- Discussing progress with supervisors
- Data collection ensuring immediacy and accuracy
- Willingness to learn new concepts and implement them on the job
- Ability to be flexible and implement feedback to improve performance Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma (AA/AS or BA/BS in psychology, education, or related field is a plus)
- Experience and enthusiasm working with children
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations Requirements
- Able to pass DOJ background/fingerprint screens
- Proof of negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Proof of valid California drivers license and auto insurance
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Organization's service area
- Fluency in Microsoft Office and the Internet
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Ability to engage in the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and visual acuity, and lift up to 50 lbs
