Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your passion for behavioral health and teaching in a collaborative environment. As an RBT, you will work directly with clients to implement personalized behavior intervention plans, promote skill development, and enhance quality of life through evidence-based practices rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while gaining valuable experience in the field of behavioral health. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients' developmental and behavioral goals Collect and analyze data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills Use positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documentation, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in intervention strategies and support systems Participate in ongoing training sessions on behavioral therapy techniques, medical terminology, and ethical standards for patient care Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients' daily routines with patience and compassion Proficiency in data collection methods and maintaining detailed medical documentation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times Effective teaching skills to promote skill acquisition and positive behavior change Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan implementation for behavioral health settings Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual can thrive!
