Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your dedication will help foster independence, communication, and social skills in clients across various settings, including home-based and school environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene routines to promote independence. Collect and record detailed behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans. Implement individualized behavior management strategies based on approved care plans aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching techniques tailored to their needs, including augmentative communication methods. Conduct direct behavioral therapy sessions under supervision, applying ABA protocols to reduce problematic behaviors and enhance functional skills. Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards. Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency across environments and optimize client outcomes. Skills Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis principles and behavior management techniques. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data accurately for ongoing assessment. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards related to behavioral health. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse needs. Familiarity with special education settings, school experience, or home-based behavioral programs is highly desirable.
