Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions with accuracy and attention to detail Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks Support teaching sessions designed to improve communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors for children and individuals with autism Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical documentation appropriately Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each client's needs Foster a positive, engaging environment that promotes client safety, comfort, and motivation during therapy sessions Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable Experience assisting with ADLs or providing patient care in healthcare or educational settings is a plus Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation processes is advantageous Strong data collection skills and the ability to analyze behavioral data to inform treatment strategies are important for success in this role Passion for teaching, patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential qualities for candidates aiming to thrive as an RBT Must not be a registered behavior technician when applying.
