Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary-aged students with autism as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced paraeducator. This part-time position offers the chance to make a direct impact within an intensive learning center, working closely with dedicated special education leadership. Youll be scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week, with workdays aligned to student attendance and a few training days throughout the year. Hours run from late morning through the early afternoon, allowing for a consistent, structured routine. This position is fully onsite, providing hands-on support for students and collaborating directly with the school's leadership team.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active RBT certification or prior RBT credential required (only candidates not in training, as BCBA supervision is not provided) At least two years of experience working in a special education public school classroom setting Skilled in supporting students with autism using evidence-based behavioral interventions Proven ability to be compassionate, flexible, and effective in a multidisciplinary team Reliable transportation to and from the assigned school site Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional growth
Responsibilities Include:
Deliver one-on-one behavioral interventions and direct support for students in the intensive learning center Collaborate with the Principal and Special Education Director to implement individualized education and behavior plans Track student progress and provide consistent feedback to the instructional team Participate in designated training opportunities and staff meetings throughout the academic year Enjoy the fulfillment of helping children thrive while working a schedule that provides strong work-life balance.
