This rewarding contract opportunity places you in a moderate needs classroom at Nederland Elementary, working primarily with bright and energetic 2nd and 3rd graders. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a dedicated team, reporting to both the Principal and Special Education Director. Implement behavior intervention strategies to support students with a variety of needs. Work full-time, student attendance days only, from approximately 8:30am to 3:30pm, plus 23 additional training days per year. Contribute to a positive classroom environment supporting PK5th grade students, focusing mostly on 2nd and 3rd graders. Ensure safe, consistent commutes in changing mountain and winter weather.
Ideal Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician certification or strong paraprofessional background. At least two years of experience in a special education setting within public schools. Skilled in teamwork and collaboration; adaptable to classroom needs. Confident driving in mountain, canyon, and winter conditionsreliable transportation required. Preference given to local candidates living in Boulder, Nederland, Ward, Black Hawk, Central City, Rollinsville, Gilpin, or Boulder County.
