Job Description
Make a direct impact supporting students in a multi-intensive high school classroom, working closely with learners who have complex medical and behavioral needs. This full-time, onsite contract role runs through May 2027 and is tailored for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who thrives in dynamic educational settings. Your expertise in both special education classrooms and essential nursing skills is crucial. You'll work during student attendance days with the exception of a few training sessions during the year. Be ready to pitch in with a highly collaborative team and provide compassionate, hands-on support to students.
Key Qualifications:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Minimum of 2 years experience in public school special education classrooms Direct nursing or nurses aide experience (requirements below) Comfort providing personal care, including: Diapering female students G-tube feeding and cleaning Ventilator support Knowledge of seizure intervention protocol and Rett syndrome outburst management Strong sense of discretion and professionalism with students needs Reliable transportation is essentialPrimary Responsibilities:
Support students in a high school multi-intensive classroom with both behavioral and medical needs Deliver personalized behavioral interventions and reinforce skill development Administer and monitor G-tube feedings, ventilator assistance, and seizure protocol as necessary Provide compassionate assistance with personal care tasks Record observations, support IEP goals, and collaborate with classroom staff and medical professionals This assignment offers a steady full-time schedule (35 hours/week) in a meaningful school environment.
