Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) —
Part-Time Sunny Solutions ABA Industry :
Behavioral Health Location :
Connecticut (Danbury County In-home and community-based services only)
Job Summary:
Sunny Solutions ABA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team. Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) , the RBT will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and provide direct support to children with behavioral health needs. This role is critical in helping clients build communication, social, and daily living skills using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) . Services are delivered in-home and in community settings .
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA. Deliver 1:1 direct services to clients in their homes or community environments. Collect and record accurate data on client behavior, skill acquisition, and progress. Support clients in developing social skills, communication, independence, and self-management. Participate actively in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing trainings. Communicate professionally and compassionately with families, caregivers, and team members. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and ethical standards at all times. Assist with the development and modification of treatment goals in collaboration with the BCBA.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Completion of a 40-hour RBT training program (preferred, but we can support completing this if not yet certified). Active RBT certification through the BACB (preferred, or willingness to obtain). Experience working with children, especially those with autism or behavioral challenges (preferred). Strong ability to collect, organize, and report behavioral data accurately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of basic behavioral health and therapy concepts (preferred but not required). Reliable transportation to travel to client homes or community locations.
