Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Part-Time Behave Yourself LLC - Ivoryton, CT / Surrounding Area Part-time | Primarily afternoon/after-school hours | Home-based ABA Behave Yourself LLC is a small, BCBA-owned ABA practice providing individualized services to children with autism in their homes and communities. I am currently looking for a reliable, experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who enjoys working closely with children and families and values strong BCBA support. This is a good fit for an RBT who wants individualized cases, clear treatment plans, direct access to their supervising BCBA, and ongoing hands-on training rather than feeling like one staff member in a large organization. What You'll Do Provide one-on-one ABA services to children with autism under BCBA supervision. Implement individualized skill-acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans. Teach communication, social, play, adaptive, coping, flexibility, and daily-living skills. Respond to challenging behavior according to client-specific behavior plans. Collect accurate session data and complete required documentation. Use ABA procedures including reinforcement, prompting and prompt fading, differential reinforcement, natural-environment teaching, task analysis, and other procedures as trained. Participate in regular BCBA supervision, modeling, feedback, and competency checks. Communicate promptly with the BCBA regarding changes in behavior, barriers, concerns, or questions about treatment. Build positive, professional relationships with clients and families. Maintain client confidentiality and follow BACB, payer, and practice requirements. Who I'm Looking For Current RBT certification through the BACB is strongly preferred.
Ideal candidates will have:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Previous experience providing ABA services to children with autism or developmental disabilities. Experience implementing behavior plans and skill-acquisition programs with reasonable independence after training. Strong data-collection and documentation skills. Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging behavior. Good judgment and attention to detail. Willingness to ask questions and accept ongoing feedback. A warm, natural interaction style with children while still following treatment procedures consistently. Dependability and ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes within the assigned service area. Ability to meet applicable background-check, credentialing, BACB, and payer requirements. What You Can Expect Behave Yourself LLC is intentionally small. RBTs receive direct support from the supervising BCBA and individualized training on the programs and behavior procedures they are expected to implement. Supervision may include direct observation, modeling, written resources, procedural-integrity checks, feedback, and practice of specific treatment procedures. You will be expected to follow treatment plans carefully, but you will also be encouraged to ask questions, communicate what you are seeing during sessions, and contribute thoughtful observations to the clinical team. I place a high value on clinical quality, consistency, accurate data, good communication, and treating children and families with respect. RBT Training Current RBTs are strongly preferred for this opening. However, for an exceptional candidate who is not yet certified, Behave Yourself LLC can provide access to the required 40-hour RBT training course at no cost. Schedule This is a part-time position, with the greatest current need during afternoon and after-school hours. Some daytime hours may be available. Interested? If you are a dependable RBT who takes your work seriously, enjoys learning, communicates well, and wants close clinical support while providing meaningful individualized services to children and families, I would love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and include your current RBT certification status, ABA experience, and availability when applying.
