Job description: Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/ Behavior Technician (BT) Are you ready to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder? IRIS Behavioral Health Services is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our expanding team as Behavior Technicians (BT) or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). This is an exciting opportunity to provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) instruction in home, daycare, and community settings under the clinical supervision of a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA/BCBA).

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:30 PM-5:00

Part-Time This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable being active and playful, and is interested in gaining or expanding hands-on experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

What You'll Do:

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with a child under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement an individualized ABA treatment plan.

Your responsibilities will include:

Engaging your client through play and preferred activities while building a positive therapeutic relationship Teaching communication, social, play, daily living, and other developmentally appropriate skills Implementing individualized teaching and behavior-support strategies Remaining calm, positive, and supportive when challenging behaviors occur Collecting accurate data throughout each session to measure client progress Following treatment programs and incorporating feedback from your supervising BCBA Completing required session documentation accurately and on time Communicating professionally with caregivers and members of the clinical team Participating in ongoing supervision and training Maintaining client confidentiality and following HIPAA and organizational requirements Who We're Looking For Reliability is especially important in this role. Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age Minimum of 60 college credits Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Reliable transportation Ability to successfully complete required criminal background and abuse registry checks Ability to pass required drug screening Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk up to 2 miles, and actively participate in physical activities with clients 1-2 years of experience working with children in a supervised setting A genuine interest in working collaboratively with children, families, and clinical professionals Self-motivated, compassionate, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills Consistent availability Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-5:00 PM Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Child Development, Early Childhood Education , or a related field At least 1 year of experience working under the direct supervision of a BCBA Previous coursework, training, or professional experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification New to ABA? Previous ABA experience is preferred but is not required if you meet the minimum qualifications and are a strong fit for the role.
