9662586-06053 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) dedicated to supporting the success of a 2nd-grade student in a school setting near New Britain, CT. This full-time position plays a crucial role in providing individualized 1:1 behavioral support during school hours, from 8:30am to 3:30pm. In this impactful role, you will work directly with a young student who displays aggressive behaviors, including tendencies to bite, kick, or punch. Utilizing your training and experience as an RBT, you will implement effective strategies, ensure safety, and foster positive behavioral changes, while collaborating closely with teachers, school staff, and other support professionals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience working with children in educational or behavioral settings Ability to remain calm and effective when addressing challenging behaviors, especially aggression Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with multi-disciplinary teams Strong documentation and observational abilities Passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of students
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support and intervention for a 2nd-grade student Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity Accurately record and track data related to student behaviors and interventions Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to reinforce positive behavior strategies Maintain a safe and supportive environment for student learning and development
