Full Job Description Job Title:
Behavior Technician Current need in NEW HAVEN, WATERBURY, and HAMDEN.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized behavior programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities
  • Collect data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of treatment plans
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on progress and address any concerns
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with special needs
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior programs accurately
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Prior experience as a Behavior Technician or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred, training can be available if needed. On the job training can be provided.
