9670552-06511 Job Description Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Registered Behavior Technician in a dynamic, diverse environment near New Haven, CT. This position allows you to make a daily difference in the lives of children, providing both 1:1 and classroom-based behavioral support with most caseloads focused on the K-8 population. Theres a special emphasis on fostering inclusive learning and growth.
Qualifications:
Active BACB-accredited RBT certification (no expired or in-progress credentials permitted) Previous experience working with K-12 students, preferably in both individual and group settings Ability to adapt and thrive in culturally diverse educational environments Strong communication skills and the capacity to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Reliability and commitment to the full contract duration
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted behavioral interventions to assigned students, both one-on-one and within the classroom setting Collaborate closely with school staff to implement behavior intervention plans and collect data Attend scheduled supervision each Wednesday, including an additional 1.5-hour after-school meeting Foster positive, supportive relationships with students and their families Maintain detailed records in accordance with BACB standards Adapt support strategies to meet individual and classroom needs Enjoy a schedule of 6.5-8 hours per day, five days per week, with a dedicated supervision period and the chance to see your impact each day. Competitive pay starts at $28/hour and is provided weekly for your convenience.
