Immediate need for the next 23 months, with potential for extension Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 behavioral and educational support to a 6th grade student within a therapeutic school program. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RBT who is confident working with students who demonstrate externalizing behaviors and can remain calm, consistent, and proactive in challenging situations. Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support to a 6th grade student Implement behavior support strategies and interventions as directed by the student's educational and clinical team Support the student in maintaining engagement and participation throughout the school day Assist with de-escalation and redirection when challenging behaviors occur Promote positive social, emotional, and academic functioning Maintain consistency with established behavioral expectations and interventions Collaborate closely with teachers, related service providers, and the therapeutic team Provide support with behaviors such as refusal, inappropriate language, climbing, and other externalizing behaviors Ideal Candidate Active RBT certification through the BACB Strong experience working with students with behavioral and emotional needs Comfortable working in a therapeutic school environment Confident managing externalizing behaviors and challenging situations Patient, consistent, and able to maintain professional boundaries Strong communication and collaboration skills Able to build rapport with a highly intelligent student while maintaining appropriate structure and expectations Very strong candidate preferred due to the behavioral needs and intensity of the assignment Why This Opportunity?
