Job Description

Hubbard Day is hiring at its new campus in Rocky Hill, a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut. We are a State Approved Private Special Needs School for children with Autism and related neurological differences, and we are looking for Board Certified Behavior Analysts ("BCBAs"). Specifically, we are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated BCBA/LBAs for our program. This is an amazing opportunity to leave your mark on an already well-established program that excels in providing meaningful and measurable outcomes for our students. The individual should be someone who can lead by example and work towards creating and maintaining a positive work environment for our students as well as our staff.
Job responsibilities include:
Direct Classroom Supervision Overseeing/Writing Behavior Intervention Plans Leading weekly or bi-monthly 1:1 meetings with staff members to review behavior tracking, data collection procedures, current data, skill acquisition programs, etc. Completing Functional Behavior Assessments as requested and approved by parents and districts Coordinating visits and collaboration with outside providers (home therapists, doctors, etc.) Attending home visits, providing home training directly or coordinating with staff to develop a treatment plan, providing general support for families-conducting classroom observations and providing both written and informal feedback Developing specialized behavior support guidelines i.e. bus plans, desensitization plans etc. Providing support to team leaders with 1:1 daily scheduling and finding coverage for last minute absences and/or other changes Supervision of BCBA candidates and RBTs and the completion of appropriate documentation First Responder to Crisis Prevention Intervention situations Participating in Staff Development/Staff Training Completing data-based progress reports and entering information into SEDs in a timely fashion. Assist in functional and developmental assessments in coordination with Special Education Teachers, RBT's and related service staff Developing SMART goals for inclusion in a student's IEP taking into account parent priorities.
