Job Description
Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact each day by supporting students as a Registered Behavior Technician! In this contract role near Willimantic, CT, you'll partner with educators and behavior analysts to foster a productive environment for children with diverse needs. Your expertise will help guide students' development, manage behaviors, and create positive strategies for academic and social success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience implementing behavior intervention plans in an educational setting preferred Ability to build rapport with students of varying backgrounds and abilities Collaborative spirit with strong communication skills to work alongside teachers, families, and specialists Capacity to collect and document data accurately and promptly Adaptable and patient when facing new challenges and varying classroom dynamicsResponsibilities:
Support the implementation of behavior intervention plans as directed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and teachers Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, reinforcing skill acquisition and positive behaviors Aid in crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary Track and report data on student progress and behaviors to the supervising clinician Collaborate in team meetings to refine student programming and goals Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactionsBenefits & Perks:
