At 4KIDS, we are passionate about providing Hope, Homes, and Healing to children and teens in foster care. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and mission-driven Behavior Technician to support youth in our Neighborhood Foster Homes. The position hours are 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend coverage and overnight support in the home one weekend or week per quarter may be required.
Duties:
Implement trauma-informed behavioral support strategies and therapeutic interventions Supervise and engage youth during daily activities, recreation, appointments, and community outings Assist with skill-building in communication, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, social skills, and independent living Support treatment goals and behavior plans developed by the clinical team Provide mentoring, coaching, encouragement, and positive role modeling Complete behavioral observations, incident documentation, and progress notes in a timely manner Help maintain a structured, nurturing, and Christ-centered home environment Transport youth to appointments, school, and activities using company vehicles when needed Assist with medication administration as trained and approved Collaborate closely with house parents, case managers, therapists, and leadership staff Advocate for the best interests and wellbeing of each child served
Qualifications:
Committed Christian with alignment with 4KIDS statement of faith Must be 23 years of age or older with valid drivers license in order to drive children in company provided vans Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT) preferred Associates Degree preferred in related field Minimum two years experience working with youth ages 12-17 Experience working with trauma, foster care, behavioral health, or residential settings preferred Strong communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations Expert in children supervision Must have reliable transportation that can be used for work purposes Why work at 4KIDS?
