The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in providing support and guidance to enhance the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral therapy techniques. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and skill development. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals, ensuring accurate documentation. Teach social skills, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms to clients in various settings. Provide support in managing challenging behaviors using evidence-based behavior management techniques. Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce strategies at home and in the community. Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and practices. Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. Ability to assist clients with ADLs effectively and compassionately. Proficient in data collection methods related to behavior tracking and progress monitoring. Knowledge of special education practices and patient care standards. Understanding of medical terminology, documentation, and record keeping related to client care plans. Excellent communication skills for teaching concepts and collaborating with families.
