Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct support and therapeutic interventions to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This role is vital in implementing behavior intervention plans and promoting positive behavioral changes in clients. Duties Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals. Provide direct care and support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments. Assist in the development of behavior modification strategies tailored to each client's needs. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of client information. Collaborate with families and other professionals to enhance client care and support. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Document medical information accurately, ensuring adherence to medical terminology standards. Requirements Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health principles and special education practices is advantageous. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and data collection methods is essential. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient care and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate approach to working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with other behavioral challenges. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
