Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing behavioral therapy to children and assisting them in developing essential skills. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with behavioral challenges. Responsibilities in the school consult setting:
  • Collaborate with teachers/paraprofessionals to ensure consistent and effective treatment
  • Train teachers/paraprofessionals in basic ABA strategies and basic proactive/reactive strategies
  • Implement plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect data on client progress and behavior using established methods and tools
  • Assist in the development and implementation of FBA/BIPs in the school setting
  • Support clients in daily living activities (ADLs) and promote independence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
Qualifications:
  • 1 years working as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral therapy
  • Ability to collect and analyze data effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Consistent and punctual attendance
