Duties Implement behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote positive behaviors and skill development. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and feeding, to foster independence. Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching functional language and social interactions. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, behavior incidents, and session notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical record standards. Collaborate closely with BCBAs, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in care plans and behavioral strategies. Create a safe, supportive environment that encourages client engagement, patience, and growth during therapy sessions. Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education strategies. Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving personal independence goals. Strong data collection skills and attention to detail for tracking client progress accurately. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and maintaining confidential medical records. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Must be patient, compassionate, energetic, and committed to promoting positive behavioral change in a supportive manner.
