Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' growth and progress as a full-time Registered Behavior Technician in a specialized classroom environment. You'll work one-on-one with a student in a GNETS (Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support) setting, providing targeted interventions and behavioral support designed to foster positive outcomes. This contract opportunity is perfect for a compassionate professional with robust experience in behavior management, particularly those comfortable supporting students confronting significant behavioral challenges, including aggression. Your expertise and steady presence will help shape a transformational experience for your student and collaborate meaningfully with a dedicated educational team. What we're seeking: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required Prior experience in school settings or working with children/adolescents with behavioral needs Strong background in implementing behavior intervention plans and managing aggressive behaviors Familiarity with GNETS or similar therapeutic/alternative education programs preferred High level of patience, adaptability, and effective communication skills Commitment to maintaining safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a student with behavioral challenges in a classroom Carry out behavior intervention plans and collect relevant data Collaborate daily with teachers, therapists, and school staff in planning and debriefing Model and reinforce positive behaviors and social skills Address incidents of aggression with calm, appropriate, evidence-based strategies Help maintain a structured, supportive learning environment Step into a rewarding, full-time role (Mon-Fri, approx. 8am-3pm, 35 hours weekly) where your expertise will have a tangible impact.
