A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works one-on-one with children to help them learn new skills. Depending on the child, you might help them learn to communicate what they want, follow everyday routines, play and interact with others, develop self-help skills, or become more independent. This is active, hands-on work. You may spend your day playing games, using toys and activities to teach new skills, celebrating a child's progress, collecting simple data on their goals, and working alongside a clinical team to help them succeed. What You'll Do As an RBT, you'll work directly with children with autism under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your responsibilities will include:

Working one-on-one with children with autism Helping children learn communication, social, play, daily living, and independence skills Using play and engaging activities to make learning meaningful Following individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA Providing clinic-based ABA therapy Celebrating progress and helping children work toward meaningful goals Collecting data to help the clinical team understand each child's progress Collaborating with BCBAs and other members of the clinical team Participating in team meetings and ongoing training Creating a positive, supportive environment for children and families Don't Know Much About ABA Yet?
