Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to enhance the quality of life for our clients while promoting their independence and skill development. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills. Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions. Provide direct support in teaching social skills, communication skills, and daily living skills. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and care plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral therapy and special education. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and techniques. Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities. Proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards. Ability to effectively teach new skills and concepts to clients. Experience in data collection methods for tracking client progress. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plan development. Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with clients, families, and team members. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines in all aspects of client care.
