Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data on client progress, behaviors, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing, to support independence. Support teaching strategies that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain detailed and confidential medical records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with team members to adjust interventions as needed and participate in supervision meetings for professional growth. Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages learning and behavioral success through patience and encouragement. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods. Ability to assist clients with ADLs and support their participation in educational or therapeutic activities. Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance related to patient care. Excellent teaching skills with a compassionate approach to working with individuals with autism or other developmental challenges. Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Patience, active listening skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
