However way you found us, we're glad you did. We are hiring Registered Behavior Technicians to work at our locally owned clinic located in Kihei, HI. Not certified (yet) or have any experience? Not a problem! We will train you thoroughly and guide you along the way to your certification . Some join our team with many years of clinical experience and expertise, others come to us with little professional direction but know they want to be part of something special. Malama Pono Autism Center is growing and looking to hire individuals interested in learning how to make a difference in the lives of children with autism. Successful candidates will have high energy, enjoy working with children and work well with a team. A Day-in-the-Life as an RBT Start of your day: You will arrive to work and review your client's plan for the day (like checking a map before going on a road trip). You'll gather any toys and learning tools to use during your session.
During session:
You'll spend your time working 1:1 with your client, helping them with whatever their goals are (this might be communication, social skills, daily tasks, play, or behavior support). Sometimes this feels like teaching or coaching, using play and fun to help them learn new skills. You'll be tracking your clients progress on a tablet (provided by us).
Teamwork & Support:
Even though you work 1:1 with your client, you are never working alone. Your supervisor (BCBA) will design your daily plan with your client and make changes as your client progresses. We also have supervisors on the floor at all times to provide support to our team. End of the
Day:
When sessions are done, you finish up your session notes and clean up your client's assigned room area. You may also use this time to prep for tomorrow's session. And that is a full day as an RBT!

$850 sign-on bonus for non-certificated

Have at least a high school diploma or GED Can pass background screening Ability to work at our clinic in Kihei This role requires frequent movement, including sitting on the floor, standing, bending, and responding quickly to client needs. Candidates must be able to lift or assist clients and equipment up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Starting Pay:
$24.00 per hour (with future opportunities for raises)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday between 8:00am to 5:30pm
