We are looking for a dependable, patient, and motivated Registered Behavior Technician—or an individual interested in becoming an RBT—to serve clients in the Gage Park area. Previous ABA experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about helping children develop meaningful skills. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Position Summary The Behavior Technician/RBT will work directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will implement individualized treatment plans, teach communication and daily-living skills, collect session data, and help reduce behaviors that interfere with learning and independence. Services may take place in clients' homes, schools, community settings, or other approved environments in and around Gage Park. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one ABA therapy according to each client's treatment plan Implement programs developed by the supervising BCBA Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily-living skills Follow behavior-support and safety procedures Collect accurate data throughout each session Complete session notes and required documentation on time Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, supervisors, and team members Attend supervision sessions, team meetings, and required training Protect client confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Maintain professional boundaries and provide services in an ethical, respectful, and culturally responsive manner Immediately report safety concerns, incidents, or significant changes in client behavior Travel reliably to scheduled client sessions in the Gage Park area Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent required Reliable personal transportation Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance Ability to pass required criminal background and applicable healthcare-worker checks Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow written treatment plans and accept feedback from supervisors Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Comfortable working independently in clients' homes and community settings Access to a reliable smartphone and internet connection for scheduling and documentation Willingness to complete required training and maintain all applicable credentials Ability to sit on the floor, stand, bend, walk, and actively engage with clients for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to respond calmly and safely when clients display challenging behaviors Preferred Qualifications Active Registered Behavior Technician credential in good standing Previous experience providing ABA therapy Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Coursework or experience in psychology, education, social work, speech therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field Spanish-speaking or bilingual in English and Spanish CPR and First Aid certification Availability during after-school, afternoon, or early-evening hours What We Offer Competitive pay of $20-$26 per hour Approximately 15-30 hours per week, based on client availability Training for qualified candidates who are new to ABA Ongoing guidance and supervision from a BCBA Hands-on experience in the growing field of Applied Behavior Analysis Opportunities for professional development and advancement A supportive, collaborative, and client-centered work environment Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, energetic, and consistent.
