Job Description

Overview Powerhouse ABA in Elmhurst is growing, and we are intentionally building a team of strong, clinically skilled Registered Behavior Technicians who are ready to do meaningful, high-quality work. This is not an immediate opening—we are identifying and connecting with experienced RBTs now for upcoming positions in the next few months. At Powerhouse ABA, we prioritize clinical integrity, individualized care, and real progress over "checking boxes." We are looking for an RBT who is confident implementing both maladaptive behavior reduction protocols and skill acquisition programming, and who values thoughtful, data-driven intervention. What You'll Do Implement individualized treatment plans grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with a strong emphasis on both behavior reduction and skill acquisition Work directly with clients demonstrating a range of behaviors, including moderate to complex maladaptive behaviors Run structured teaching programs across communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills Collect accurate, high-quality data to inform clinical decision-making Collaborate closely with BCBAs to ensure treatment is implemented with fidelity and clinical intent Support generalization of skills across environments and caregivers Maintain a therapeutic environment that is structured, engaging, and responsive to each client's needs Uphold all HIPAA and ethical standards in documentation and client care Who We're Looking For Active RBT certification required Hands-on experience implementing behavior intervention plans for maladaptive behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement, noncompliance) Experience with skill acquisition programming (DTT, NET, or similar instructional strategies) Strong data collection and session management skills Ability to take clinical direction and implement feedback with precision Professional, reliable, and aligned with a team that values accountability and growth Excellent communication skills with both supervisors and families What Sets Powerhouse ABA Apart We are intentional about who we hire and how we grow—we are not a volume-based model Strong emphasis on clinical quality over caseload quantity Collaborative, supportive environment with hands-on BCBA involvement A culture that values initiative, critical thinking, and continuous improvement
