Part-time Pay:

$17.00-$21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Location:

In-person sessions, In-home and local community Must be 21+ years old with a driver's license Assisting teens and adults with the following: Assess individual strengths, needs, interests, and learning styles to identify appropriate skill-building goals. Teach daily living skills using clear instructions, modeling, demonstration, prompting, repetition, and positive reinforcement. Break complex tasks into manageable steps and gradually reduce prompts as the individual gains independence. Teach and reinforce skills such as: Personal hygiene and self-care Meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation Household cleaning and organization Laundry and clothing care Money management and budgeting Time management and use of schedules Communication and self-advocacy Social and interpersonal skills Community safety and navigation Transportation skills Employment and workplace skills Problem-solving and decision-making Create opportunities for individuals to practice skills in real-life settings. Encourage individuals to make choices, solve problems, and take ownership of their daily routines. Use positive, strengths-based teaching approaches that promote confidence and self-determination. Adjust teaching strategies based on the individual's progress, abilities, and preferences. What We're Looking For

REQUIRED

Ability to pass a background check and 1+ years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills Proficient writing skills including maintaining accurate and timely service documentation in accordance with organizational requirements. Able to work independently as well as part of a team Experience with assent-based therapy and advocating for clients Current BT certification or willingness to become an RBT High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred) A passion for working with children and helping others succeed Experience working with children, autism, or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable transportation Dependable, patient, positive, and eager to learn Schedule Preferred availability: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is highly preferred Flexible scheduling available Part-time opportunities available Schedules are created based on employee availability and client needs Why Join ACT?
