We are open to hiring candidates who are able to work afternoons, or full days . Our center is open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Our greatest staffing need is between 1pm and 6pm , so we especially encourage applications from candidates who are available for these hours. We are flexible in terms of how many days a week you are available to work. We do not currently have a need for staff who are only available in the mornings.
Timeline :
We are hoping for successful candidates to start on or after 8/17, ideally by 9/1 -- although this is flexible for the right candidate. We encourage applications from individuals who have a clearly demonstrable interest in this line of work, as evidenced by e.g., already having some experience working with children , and/or studies undertaken in adjacent fields. Experience in ABA or working with children with autism is preferred, but not essential. If your interest and/or experience in this field is not immediately obvious from your resume, we would encourage candidates to write a cover letter explaining this to us. This job is ideal for, e.g., people working in the school system who want to substantially increase their yearly income. It is also a great position for people studying ABA, Psychology, Education, and Social Work who want to further their real-world experience.
Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with children and adolescents with autism, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to improve their daily lives. This is a center-based position.
Duties :
Implement skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Conduct direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure effective treatment strategies Provide support to clients in the clinic and out in the community Monitor and document client responses to interventions
Skills :
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques Familiarity with behavioral health and special education practices Ability to conduct patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans Proficiency in data collection for tracking client progress Understanding of medical terminology related to developmental disabilities Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with clients This is an hourly paid position that offers valuable experience in the field of behavioral health and applied behavior analysis.
