Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician to transform lives through compassionate, evidence-based therapy, working directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this paid, hands-on role, you will implement personalized treatment plans, fostering meaningful progress and positive behaviors. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients' developmental goals. Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist with patient assessments and intake processes by gathering relevant information and supporting diagnostic evaluations. Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that encourages learning and growth. Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and families to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across settings. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, medical records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, medical terminology, and patient care best practices. Support the implementation of behavioral health interventions tailored for children and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Assist in the development and execution of patient care plans by conducting behavioral assessments under supervision. Ensure confidentiality and security of all medical records and sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards. Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Ability to collect detailed data during therapy sessions accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with special education principles and patient assessment procedures. Knowledge of medical documentation practices, including maintaining accurate medical records and understanding medical terminology. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients' families, team members, and healthcare professionals. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when working with diverse populations facing behavioral challenges. Pay:
