Job Description

Looking for a rewarding contract position where your expertise as a BCBA can truly transform student experiences? Were seeking a full-time BCBA/Autism Specialist for the 20262027 school year, supporting students and staff at four school sites in the Springfield area. Your role will be instrumental in providing behavioral consultation, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), developing data-driven Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and coaching teachers and paraprofessionals to make a tangible difference in the lives of students with autism.
Key Qualifications:
Active BCBA certification (required to submit a screenshot for consideration) Demonstrated experience in school-based BCBA or Autism Specialist roles Strong background in conducting FBAs and designing comprehensive BIPs Proven record of effectively coaching staff on evidence-based behavior strategies Prior experience supporting autism programming/classrooms and collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams Possession of reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple school locations Ability to pass required drug screening, fingerprinting, and CORI/background checks Commitment to prompt and reliable attendance
Primary Responsibilities:
Consult on complex behavioral cases with school teams, providing actionable recommendations Conduct FBAs and develop individualized BIPs for students across four schools Serve as a resource and coach for teachers and paraprofessionals, fostering positive changes in classroom environments Collaborate closely with educators and families, ensuring interventions are cohesive and effective Provide ongoing professional development and support for staff serving students with autism This position is onsite only, offering a dynamic school year schedule where no two days are the same.
