Kingston Elementary School has an opening for the 26-27 SY for a full time BCBA.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success of students in grades K-2 . The BCBA collaborates closely with administrators, teachers, related service providers, families, and community agencies to develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based behavioral interventions and supports. The BCBA serves as a resource to staff by providing consultation, training, and coaching to promote positive student outcomes and a supportive school environment. The BCBA should be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. They will report directly to the Principal.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
The behaviorist must have professional certification in a relevant field. Examples include licensure as a special educator, social worker, psychologist, applied behavior analyst or Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have experience as a behaviorist, or in another similar role. All prospective employees must undergo state-mandated criminal background checks (ie., CORI, SORI, and SAFSIS) and be deemed suitable for employment. This is a one year appointment and commensurate with the CBA language at Bachelors Step 1 for compensation and benefits as a Leave Replacement.
