Job Description
Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this school year by providing essential support to young learners in a vibrant K-2 special education environment. This contract opportunity places you in a collaborative, school-based setting where your Registered Behavior Technician expertise will help shape student success. You'll work hands-on with high-needs children with autism, delivering intensive behavioral and classroom support alongside an experienced team. Ideal candidates will possess an active RBT certification, enthusiasm for working with children in highly structured settings, and the ability to build trust with students who have significant behavioral and communication challenges. Previous experience in schools or with young students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder is highly valued. Candidates familiar with Behavior Intervention Plans, data tracking, and de-escalation tactics are especially encouraged to apply. Training in SafetyCare and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams will help set you apart. Preferred Qualifications and Background Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required School-based or classroom experience preferred Proven track record supporting students with ASD and intensive behavioral needs Proficiency with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), behavioral tracking methods, and de-escalation strategies SafetyCare training strongly preferred Excellent teamwork and communication skills Responsibilities Work one-on-one and in small groups with K-2 students requiring intensive support Implement individualized behavioral interventions and classroom strategies Collect data and monitor student progress on goals and behavior targets Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to maximize student outcomes Support a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment Step into a role where your expertise truly matters.
