Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to provide support and implement behavioral therapy techniques. This role is essential in fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and development in our clients. • We are also looking for part-time afternoon staff available from 3 pm to 8 pm, Monday through Friday. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional. Assist clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills. Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions. Collaborate with families and other team members to ensure consistent care and support. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to behavioral health and patient care. Skills Experience or background in special education is highly desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism. Knowledge of behavioral health concepts and therapeutic techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to the field of behavioral therapy. Ability to conduct patient assessments effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed in their personal development goals.
