Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting a young adult student with significant behavioral needs in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, contract position offers an immediate start, with flexibility for a part-time schedule if preferred. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you'll play an essential role in helping a 20-year-old student achieve greater independence and social-emotional growth, under the guidance of an experienced BCBA. Ideal candidates are dedicated to making a difference and adapt quickly to the evolving needs of students. Your expertise will have a meaningful impact, ensuring a safe, supportive space for progress.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges preferred Ability to form supportive, professional relationships with students and staff Strong communication and observational skills Team-oriented mindset and reliability
Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision Provide one-on-one support, encouragement, and guidance to the assigned student Monitor data and progress, sharing observations with the supervising BCBA Assist with classroom integration and promote positive interactions Respond proactively to challenging behaviors using best practices and de-escalation techniques Participate in team meetings and ongoing training as needed The position runs weekdays, with full-time hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.—though a part-time option (10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) is also available to fit your needs.
