Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Engage in meaningful work supporting students' emotional growth through a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This position serves an innovative Pyramid Program, designed to provide intensive special education and therapeutic services for students exhibiting significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs. You'll work within a close-knit environment in a small, structured classroom embedded in a general education setting. This full-time role begins as soon as possible and continues until November 13th, with high potential for extension. The daily schedule is roughly 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, supporting consistent work-life balance. You'll be involved at Centerville Elementary, working directly with children who demonstrate strong emotional and verbal behaviors, offering them integrated interventions and contributing to their continued growth.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required Experience supporting children with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs Skills in implementing individualized behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports Ability to navigate emotionally charged environments with patience and professionalism Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills Commitment to a compassionate, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 or in small groups with students enrolled in the Pyramid Program Assist in implementing and tracking individualized behavioral plans Collaborate closely with special education teachers, therapists, and school staff Provide positive reinforcement, coping strategies, and crisis intervention as needed Maintain accurate records and participate in progress meetings Foster a supportive and safe learning environment This is a dynamic chance to make a difference for students who require caring, specialized support.
