Summary:
The Educational Technician III - Autism Preschool role provides instruction and behavioral support in year-round special purpose programs. Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director, the Education Tech III provides services that support the achievement of communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education:
Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.License/Certifications:
Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required or must obtain within 90 days of start date.Experience:
Two years of experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred. Experience/interest in working with children ages 3-5 with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Technician II role.Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
