Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments Support patients during assessments, therapy sessions, and daily activities to ensure a safe and engaging environment Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical records and conducting initial evaluations under supervision Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and accurately documenting medical records and behavioral data Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians and educators, to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with disabilities Provide patient-centered care by fostering positive relationships, encouraging communication, and promoting independence in daily routines Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and medical records management is a plus Demonstrated ability to work patiently and effectively with diverse populations in educational or healthcare settings Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility in dynamic environments Commitment to ongoing learning about behavioral health, diagnostic evaluation processes, and best practices in special education Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication directly enhances the lives of individuals with disabilities.
