Job Description

Step into a dynamic role that blends impactful teaching with behavioral consultation, supporting both high school and elementary students within a forward-thinking educational environment. This contract opportunity spans the full academic year, offering a balanced schedule where your morning focuses on high school special education (0.5 FTE), and your afternoons are dedicated to serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist (0.5 FTE) at the elementary level. As a BIS, youll collaborate with teachers, offering expertise in developing and consulting on behavior plansempowering educators and improving student outcomes.
What Were Looking For:
Valid Minnesota teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required) Experience as a Special Education Teacher; BCBA credentials desired Knowledge of behavioral intervention and instructional strategies for diverse student needs Strong consultation, collaboration, and communication skills Organizational skills to balance split assignments and flexible daily routines Ability to adapt interventions for both high school and elementary settings
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Teaching high school special education classes in the morning Serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist in elementary classrooms in the afternoon Providing guidance to teachers on behavioral supports and individualized plans Consulting on student needs and assisting with functional behavior assessments Sharing expertise in special education and evidence-based behavioral practices Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster positive outcomes for all learners Discover the
