Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED and passed ParaPro exam (or 60 college credits) required. Successful background check required. Prefer experience working with children.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, team work, self starter, take direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, assist in the classroom and in special education classroom. Applicant will work with students on health plans. Exemplifies the following

compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.
Specific Tasks:
Work with student throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics. Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, work cooperatively with classroom teacher and Special Education staff. Work to increase independence in children. Other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher. See the job description for additional information.
Hours Per Day:
