Lead Behavior Tech Enriched Living - 4.1 New Brighton, MN Job Details 9 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Lead Behavior Technician works in tandem with the Designated Coordinator supporting the daily operations of the residential program while helping ensure residents receive safe, respectful, high-quality, person-centered care. This role coordinates household needs, supports staff, monitors documentation, assists with resident appointments and activities, and communicates operational needs to the Designated Coordinator. The Lead Behavior Technician serves as a positive role model for direct support staff and helps maintain compliance with Individual Support Plans, organizational standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Shop for groceries, household supplies, and other approved items to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked home environment. Collaborate with residents to develop monthly menus and meal plans that reflect individual preferences, cultural considerations, dietary needs, and support plan requirements. Plan, organize, and coordinate meaningful recreational, social, and community activities that promote choice, inclusion, independence, and quality of life. Manage and monitor monthly household and resident budgets, including tracking expenses, maintaining receipts, and ensuring funds are used responsibly and according to policy. Attend residents' medical appointments as needed and accurately document, communicate, and track medical information, follow-up needs, and changes in Therap or other approved systems. Review resident documentation for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and alignment with Individual Support Plans and organizational expectations. Report documentation concerns, service needs, medical updates, staffing concerns, scheduling issues, and operational needs to the Designated Coordinator in a timely manner. Support compliance with Individual Support Plans, person-centered service expectations, licensing requirements, and agency policies. Demonstrate best practices in direct support by coaching, mentoring, encouraging, and supporting direct support staff during daily routines and resident care activities. Promote a safe, respectful, supportive, and person-centered environment that protects residents' rights, dignity, privacy, and overall well-being. Assist with household organization, routine checks, supply needs, and follow-up tasks that support smooth program operations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the residential program. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years of experience providing direct support, behavioral support, residential services, or related human services support preferred. Ability to accurately complete documentation and use electronic documentation systems such as Therap. Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills. Ability to support residents with dignity, respect, patience, and a person-centered approach. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow organizational policies, support plans, and regulatory requirements. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport residents as required by the program. The Lead Behavior Technician may be required to assist with daily living activities, household tasks, transportation, community outings, and resident appointments. The role may involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and responding to resident support needs in accordance with training, policy, and individual support plans. Reporting Relationship The Lead Behavior Technician reports to the Designated Coordinator or other assigned program leadership and works collaboratively with direct support staff, residents, families, guardians, medical providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
